The Rivulet is located on busy Sandy Bay Road, which makes getting into and out of the property a litte tricky. It is conveniently located to the Salamanca Market, which we were able to walk to (30-40 minutes) and also to the Bruny Island boat tour pick-up location. Sandy Bay Road has lots of shops within easy walking distance (Coles and Woolworth). We especially enjoyed one of the bakery shops where we purchased meat pies and cherry tarts. Breakfast provided a good selection of options, with coffee and tea, quiche, fresh fruits, breads, and cold cuts.

Liked how close it was to the city but had a beautiful view of a old cottage,paddocks and city lights in the distance at night.

This was a charming home, beautifully decorated, clean and well stocked. The house had comfortable beds and two bathrooms, which was really helpful. The host were right next-door and very receptive to any needs that we had. If we come to Hobart again, we’d love to stay there.

Excellent continental breakfast with lots of fruits. Building old and needs updating — shower water pressure, room carpets, elevator, street noise. Parking lot can get filled. Great location, though. A do-able stop, but nothing special.
